Built for everyone.

1. What we do
- Semantic structure. All pages use proper HTML5 landmarks (
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav>,<section>), heading hierarchy, and ARIA labels where appropriate. - Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard. A visible focus indicator (brass/red outline) is provided.
- Color contrast. Body text against background meets WCAG AA contrast (≥4.5:1). Buttons with red or navy backgrounds always use cream or white text for legibility.
- Reduced motion. All animations honor the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting. - Alt text. Meaningful images have descriptive alt attributes; decorative images use empty alt attributes.
- Form labels. Every form input has an associated label, and validation errors are announced to assistive technology.
- Scalable text. No fixed-pixel font sizes for body content; text scales with user browser zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality.
2. Compatibility
The Meeks Residential digital properties are tested on:
- Latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
- iOS VoiceOver, macOS VoiceOver, and Android TalkBack screen readers.
- NVDA + Firefox on Windows.
- Keyboard-only navigation without a pointing device.
3. Known limitations
Some downloadable PDFs may not yet be fully tagged for screen-reader accessibility. We are actively working to remediate these and welcome reports. If you cannot access content in a PDF, please contact us and we will provide the information in an alternative format at no cost.
4. Real-estate compliance
In addition to WCAG, Meeks Residential complies with:
- Fair Housing Act (federal) and Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4112 — no discrimination in real-estate transactions.
- Cleveland Codified Ordinance Chapter 365 (Lead-Safe Certificate) for managed properties built before 1978.
- Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act — reasonable accommodations for prospective tenants and clients with disabilities.
- Equal Housing Opportunity — displayed on every page and acknowledged in our Terms of Service.
